I purchased the TH-F6A. I could have purchased a much cheaper HT such as a Baofeng or Wouxon. The single feature that pushed me to purchase this unit is its ability to receive in SSB mode.
Here is a youtube review of the radio. I agree with most of what he covered in video. You will want some programming software (such as Chirp) as I found hand programming it very time consuming.
